Vale Barbara

I did my best to offend her over the years. God, how I tried:

She bore it all.

Occasionally she complained:

And she was entitled. Always.

Some things you take for granted. You expect them always to be there.

Little things can leave big, gaping, unfillable holes.

And she has.

Dear Dermott,

I'm very sorry about your sister. My favorite picture is when she is standing on the bed, telling you off.

Your friend,

Rosie

I agree that photo may be a classic. It looks like she may go down your throat.
I'd already heard about Snowy from your mum, and I thought about how lonely you would feel. Would cake help?

I'm so sorry.

Words never suffice but I hope that gaping hole is soon filled with happy memories.
